Apple Computer, Elk Grove, CA
  • Provide OS X technical leadership to Elk Grove Computer Operations group including project support and planning

  • Primary support for large software-engineering lab, including HP-UX, AIX, Solaris, Tru64 and Linux platforms.

  • Worked to provide support for a variety of environments, including NFS/NIS/DNS, RAID Disk Arrays, Service Guard, etc.
  • Maintained monthly departmental security audits and ensure compliance with corporate standards.
  • Member of internal Linux team which developed and maintained tools to deploy Linux systems within the company; provide support for internal Linux users.

Qualifications:

  • Cisco Certified CCNP

  • Proficient in multiple UNIX flavors including OS X, SunOS/Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, DG/UX, Tru64 and Linux. Also skilled in C, Shell Programming (sh/bash/ksh), perl, python, HTML.

  • Debian GNU/Linux Developer

  • Detailed knowledge of PC hardware and peripherals. Familiar with Sun, IBM & HP server hardware.

  • Familiar with Assembly, Pascal, Basic, JavaScript, Full Microsoft and Adobe product lines.

  • Completed IBM's AIX System Administration, Sun's Solaris System Administration II, and HP's HP-UX Administration for Experienced Unix System Administrators courses.
